You can use cheapies. You're not going to get pristine sound in a Wrangler anyway. I use Walmart RCAs and they're fine.

Good quality yes, but not insane ripoff stuff. Standard RCAs you find at walmarts automotive department or such are fine. Automotive are slightly thicker than in-house to help avoid interference and handle the environment but that's it.

Phew thats cool cuz I am broke. Psychologically I would prefer paying a lot but financially I would rather not.

I found a store selling a Boshmann Xplod kit which contains speaker cables, rca cables and amp kit for $30. Now since I am going to be running the power cables from one side of the jeep and audio cables on the other plus since my power cables are a good brand which means they should be properly insulated I think they should be ok.

Here is a picture of the Tsunami cables I saw earlier in the day

Here is a picture of a Boschmann set although the one I saw came in a plastic case

RCA cables are really expensive. Streetwires is a good brand though.

Today I found Stinger 4 channel RCA cables for $45 (for 5 meters). Pretty good deal so will be getting those once I get my salary. Will also order the BassLink II this week and just install everything once the BassLink arrives. This way I don't need to install stuff twice.

The BassLink II arrived today and it looks pretty cool. Everything is finally here so will install everything this Friday and Saturday. Even got a cordless 12v Bosch drill to use for the installation. Hopefully it will be enough to drill holes in the wrangler.

Although I am switching amps, I wired my first one and bought the 5 meter RCA's. Glad I got those instead of the 3 meter ones. My amp will be behind the rear seat.

That Basslink looks very interesting. I just did a bit of research on it and think that might be my way to go as well. I will continue to follow this and see what you think about it when completed. Are you mounting it behind the rear seat?

Blue; one catch though is that now that you have a higher powered fill system; the basslink can't keep up with that. You'll need to do something (should you decide to upgrade to that level) more capable. Probably looking at ~ 300-400W starting point for a Jeep with your fill power. Again; it's about balancing the sound. Basslinks are great for stock to lightly modified setups. Beyond that they won't keep up. But for those systems; they are a great addition.

Hah ha ha haaaa haa ha! Ok, I will not even remotely come close to desiring more. I think after I am set up I will just leave it alone until I know I want more.

Crazy, you are saying that after I get set up my current build will be,.... not better,....but overpower that sub?! Damn I can't wait to hear my Jeep after I install all of this.

Once I am done installing everything I will definitly come back here and post the result. I am even hoping to post pictures of the actual build so it can help others in the future.

My setup incase you didn't start reading from the begining is

Alpine iDA-X001 Head Unit
Boston Acoustics SX55 speakers front and back (50w)
Alpine V-Power MRP-F250 Amp (4x40w)
Infinity BassLink II (10" sub, 250w amp built in)

You've some great equipment there. it should really sound good. your going to love that Alpine amp, i have been running the same one for 2 years and its my favorite 4 channel that i have ever had. very clean sound and small size. IMO it would be very hard if not almost impossible to beat that amp for the $. i have no experience w/ the Basslink, but SirGcal may be right about
"not keeping up" as far as balancing out the sound. but its up to you and what kind of sound you like.

keep us posted, i want to see some pics!
