sirgcal's box build....

well, if anyone read my previous posts, you'll know i recently built one of sirgcal's boxes for my 05 tj. mounted a single 10" Elemental designs slim sub in it (very cheap by the way...70$!...) last night i got the amp in. It's an alpine pdx 2.150. i'm only running one channel to the sub, as i could not figure out how to brdge it (it has special plug in speaker connections that look like usb ports) i mounted it on the bottom of the seat, right next to the sub. the amp puts of NO heat, so i wasn't concerned. i really wish I recessed the amp into the seat now however... it would have looked SUPER clean.

anyways... holy...friggin...crap! it sounds AMAZING. it bottoms out a bit on some really hard stuff, but i just turn it down a bit and it's good.

in the future, i'll grap a jl slimline when they come out, but for now it's awesome. i can't express in words how clean it is. very smooth response. i dynomatted my doors and complete bottom of my truck, and i think that helped. from outside though, you can definately hear some things rattling. i think it's the gas tank though... it's coming from under the jeep, right by the gastank area.

thanks again Sirgcal for putting up with all my questions. i'm from NY originally, and talk a lot

if you're ever in my neck of the woods, steak and beer is on me for sure!
