remote won't unlock door

Have a 2001 Jeep cherokee. Just had heater core replaced. My remote keyless entry won't unlock the doors anymore. The lights go on but the doors stay locked The door locks work inside the Jeep. All the other functions work including locking the doors. It has a unlock, lock aux button all blue and a red button with a *.
Do I need to reprogram it or is their another problem?
Thanks and everyone have a Wonderful Holiday !

Sounds like someone didn't finish connecting a wire somewhere. The remote is working since the lights and what not are being triggered it sounds like. Just the signal to the doors is not. I'd go in and check for a harness.

I have a whole keychain full of XJ FOB remotes that don't work. Join the club. I could never get mine working again either.
