Rear Windshield Wiring

I just bought my jeep 3 weeks ago, a jeep that "had never had the top taken off". The dealer, a company I've been buying cars from for years, assured me it was a steal of a deal. I believed them. However, I realized soon after pirchasing that the hard top is not, in fact, the original. There are no buttons for the rear wiper or defroster. There is a wiring harness, but am unsure as to if it is actually for the year of my jeep. So:

1: how do I determine the year of the hard top?
2: Where to I purchase the wiring gear and buttons to hook everything up?
3: Where/How do I go about actually getting everything installed?

I think that there is a hardtop kit that you can get from a dealer that has the switches, wiring and washer bottle. I can't remember how to tell the difference between the two hardtop versions.
