What about grounding to the frame.
Drill hole in body, bushing, drill hole in frame, tap for proper thread size, clean metal and use tooth type lock washers, bang all done and there is no better ground.

I uesd the seat belt too. Tested it and it is a good ground. I don't see a need for drilling a frame ground personally unless you are building a multi amp competition system or something. my .02

bmcm161,
As Diggin'Taters says, the seat belt bolt could be a good ground.
Make sure what ever you use is some how connected to the frame ground.
Use a Volt/Ohm meter and check the continuity of the bolt to the frame.
Maybe run a wire from the bottom side of the seatbelt bolt to a frame connection or the battery ground.

Do it right the first time.
