RB1 and Mopar Integration kit for iPod

Hello Guy's

Anyone of you has tried to install the Mopar Integration Kit for iPod on a RB1 radio (especially in a WJ) ?.. Is it fully compatible (controls, display, etc...) ?

Thanks in advance.

I used the Logjam iPod kit for my WJ. It's Ok, I don't really like the way you have to set-up the playlsts and stuff. BUT it was super easy to hook up.

i'm wondering the same thing... it doesn't mention that it works with the rb1... i purchased a connector from crutchfield... it's nice just to have music constantly... you have to set up playlists and it runs as if it were a cd changer... so you have 6 playlists... and thatz about it. but i have a pioneer in my van and it shows the names and all that... and i really want that on the rb1 as well

Yes, espcially when you see an image like that one (we can see a RB1 device in the back) :

http://www.wkjeeps.com/misc/iPod_mopar_01.jpg

You really wonder if it works on the RB1... This unit is not mentionned anywhere... And I prefer to know before buying it...

Another question that I have... With this integration kit installed on a RB1 unit, will it sitll possible to listen to the CDs that are in the changer ?... I assume that the iPod will be seen as an AUX device like the satellite radio... But I am still wondering...

Any ideas ?....

Kits for RB1 Navigation radios are "en route" and kits for 300, Charger, Magnum, and 2006 Rams are "in development"! - this was taken from http://www.wyckoff-mopar-parts.com/moipinkit.html ... so we just have to hold off for now...

CDC "CD Changer"

So you won't be able to run sat and cdc at the same time...

Just to let you know that I have installed the iPod Integration kit on my RB1 radio in my 2004 Grand Cherokee and it works great !

The sound quality is perfect and very easy to use. The most difficult step was to find a place to put the adapter box.

For those interested, you can put the box in the small room on top of the radio unit in the dashboard. It enters, not easilly but it does...

Once installed, your CD Changer still works...

I highly recommend the kit.
