RB1 AI qiestion

The seller I got this from said it didn't want to read the NAV disc. I looked at the radio, and it's the last version, AI. My question is, if the seller had an older NAV disc, say, the AG disc (I know, not related to the radio version), would the newer radio have a problem with the older disc? Just brainstorming here thanks!

Jerry

Should be fine. Nav in the rb1 isn't worth giving imo. It's nice if it works but its pretty poor gps. I think I used mine twice in a few years.

Major reason I got it was because it was an Alpine, and man, am I impressed with the sound over the RBP deck that came with the Jeep.

I dont recall my rb1 being an alpine, just branded as a mopar. My jeep had the super duper supreme whatever system, it was very meh imo. Better than my 90 f250, worse than any $500 id spend on parts to do my own system. I ran a jabra cruiser to stream music from my pone most of the time. Regardless, it should work with the old nav disc.

All RB1 radios were made by Alpine. I'm just waiting for my AL disc to get here, and I'll see what happens.

Got my RB1 AL NAV disc in the mail. Found out that the DVD mech in the RB1 is just fine! I bought it off eBay for $150 shipped because the NAV disc would not read. Found out that it will give a read error at first, then I went to radio and back to NAV, then, the screen goes blank, and, then the disc starts updating the firmware. I'm so glad!! Now, need to get a GPS antenna.
