Question for seven speaker package?

I just traded my 03 SE in on an 05 RME with the seven speaker package. I noticed the factory sub is fine right now for songs with a lot of bass (rap, dance, etc.) but on rock songs it seems to be non existant. If I change to aftermarket speakers will it fill in the void? Thanks I'm still trying to figure out what I want to do with the audio.

they might, but if you have a sub you shouldn't look to coaxial speakers for bass. a sub is going to recreate bass much better than any other speaker is going to. if you push a speaker to a point trying to reach what a sub can do #1 it's not going to happen, and #2 you are likely to damage your speakers.

truth be told, the factory sub just isn't all that great. it serves its purpose moderately well. that's about all you're going to get out of it.
