XJ Cherokee door wire harness issues are very common. Inspect the wire harness, look for broken wires, chafed insulation, and failed wire splices. If the harness checks out OK and testing volts/ohms multi-meter reveals no shorts or open wires, consider that the drivers door master is switch is faulty.
