Has anyone tried the Super Start Extreme AGM battery from O'Reilly Auto parts? I can't find a review on it anywhere. I wonder how it compares to the Sears Platinum which is also an AGM battery I think and is highly recommended around here.
It's the "yellow top" one pictured in this link.

Never heard of it. And your link doesn't work. (it uses cookies or session variables on your system, not ours).

I can't figure out why that link doesn't work. Anyway, the battery is only $139 at O'Reillys which seems like a cheap price for an AGM battery.
Extreme AGM (Absorbed Glass Mat)
* 84 month warranty
* 3 year free replacement
* Great for high powered accessories and high vibration applications
* Spill proof and leak proof - mount in virtually any position
* Sealed construction eliminates terminal corrosion
* 100% maintenance free design

Never seen it before, but with the low price, and 3 year replacement warranty I don't see how you could go wrong.

For $60 more you can get a DieHard Platinum AGM battery with 100 more CCA, 15 minutes more of Reserve Capacity, and 1 extra year of free replacement.

That's nice and all but that's too much $$$ for a battery. That's why I am considering the $139 O'Reillys AGM. heck, for all we know they are made by the same manufacture.

I was wrong, It is $189.99. Even if it was made by the same manufacturer, the DieHard still has better specs and a better warranty.

I'd rather keep my $50 then get a better warranty. I think a full 3 year replacement is good enough (O'Reillys) as opposed to a full 4 year replacement (Sears).

Hate digging up old threads, but found this through the search......For anyone who might be interested, the Super Start Extreme AGM sold at O Riely's is made by Deka and is the exact same as the renowned Deka Intimidator 34/78. As seen below.

As stated it's made by Deka, it's an intimidator with a different sticker, I have a O'Rielly's Super Start Extreme AGM, it works great and I have no complaints it was also about $50 cheaper than a DieHard Platium, that wasn't available to me at the time, and I needed a battery that day. There are many great reviews on the Deka Intimidators, they seem to be great batteries and I have yet to read anything bad unlike optima.

why would you spend even more on an optima that isnt any better? the die hard AGM battery is every bit as good, if not better than an optima and its cheaper.

Because Optima's manufacturing move out of the country and their quality took a nose dive.

+1 Exactly. I never liked the Optimas, especially the red/yellows because their side terminals were not rated to 100% of the battery's capabilities. Meant no winch there, etc. I like my Exide Orbital Blue top.
