I plan to get a cb for my jeep ,and always wishec the big one in my truck had the weather ch. on it.I really like this one for that feature.anyone have any experiance with this radio.If they are not good performers i will probably go with the pro 520

The Uniden 510, 520, and 538 are all fine radios that hold up well, you'd be happy with any of them. My 520 is about 11 years old, kept dirty most of that time, and it continues working fine.

Well I sent an email to my local cb shop about some prices on what he has.
Pro 538w is $87.95 (in stock)
Pro 520xl is $67.95 (in stock)
I found a 538w on ebay for $56 free shipping.I think,as i was half asleep at 1 in the morning.
I wondered if this radio is an old model since it doesn't look as up to date as the 510,or 520 does?I hate to buy one and then you can't get it replaced cause they no longer make parts for it
Oh well i guess a good shop should be able to fix it if something was to happen to it.

Jerry, I did the froogle search that you recommended last night after work.I found the 538 for $39 at some place ,but thier site wouldn't load.I definatly won't pay the price the local shop wants.I could buy my antenna for the money i would save.just by buying online.
