new procomp blue top - quest about cable replacement

Just picked up my procomp blue top from 4wp. Here are my questions:

1) has two sets of posts on top (one reason why I went with it). Should I/Can I attach winch cables to the smaller post with the wing-nuts and then the main battery cables to the larger posts?

2) Should I attach accessories anthing else to the small posts if I have the winch attached to them as configured above?

3) Should I consider replacing the main battery cables while I'm at it? What size should I go to? I have stock alternator in 2000 TJ Sahara with a MM 9500 winch and will add rock lights later.

Thanks.

Mark

You can attach the winch to the wing nut posts on the Blue Top. Makes it easier huh. And no need to replace the cables.

1) sure. That's why I like the blue-tops, their spare terminals are rated for full duity unlike the yellow/red tops which are not.
2) doesn't matter. It won't hurt anything.
3) Not needed.

I didn't know the Blue Top Connections were rated any differently than the Yellow Top which as stated won't handle the winch on the side posts.

Good to know.

How does the Blue Top Handle the winching ?

What is the difference in the Blue Top ?

blue top and yellow top are the same battery. Just the posts are different.

Absolutely makes it easier - that's biggest reason I went with it over the yellow top.

Thanks for the reply.
