IF it is a simple design, simple 3/4" MDF and just a general 6 sided box, probably 80-150 depending on the specifics. Maybe ~ 200 fully carpeted or lined or otherwise covered. More complex would be more expensive. Plus it will also depend how many shops around there can do the work. If there's very few, cost may be higher. If it gets to that, call Ron at just4effect.

but for not much more you can buy a little jigsaw and fix the table saw. hell if you have a steady enough hand you could use the jigsaw to make the long cuts and not worry about the table saw (but get your dad on fixing that, they are nice and whats wrong with it?)

heres a little black and decker jig saw for $40

wow i didn't think it was gonna be that expensive. It's just a little rectangular box that I would get in bare mdf. This is turning into another headache.

it takes time and some degree of thinking to get a box made correctly. and the shops are "specialty car audio" types of places. typiccly the average time for cutting and measuring and all that add up and you have the cost of materials plus the labor and everything. its allways more expensive to have it done for you than to do it yourself

look for friends and family to borrow tools for a day to get this thing knocked out. plus its more satisfying knowing you made it with your own hands.

Does any speaker manufacturer make a "kit" to replace all 4 speakers and sub and still retain the stock stereo. An inexpensive "stealth" system for us audio idiots?

ok so i found a guy on craigslist that said he would make me a box for $50. I was going to buy a used jigsaw but with materials and everything it would prob cost the same. This guy works at a shop and is all he does for a living so I will prob go that route. My bday is coming up so hopefully get some money from that and get this darn thing done already.
