My Budget CB Install
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() It's a Uniden 'garage sale' CB, I picked up for $3 which will be upgraded eventually, and a radio shack antenna (clearance for $15) and mount bracket for $10 and $11 20ft cable. Which was $3 cheaper than the 10ft one. lol For 20mins of work it will work for the winter and some mud. lol (Don't mind the spare, it's a mismatched wheel to the rig)

you wil have to put a decent ground strap on the base of the antenna and earth (vehicle body)
and have the swr tuned. otherwise i like the install |

I have the ground strap, just couldn't find it and my fingers were getting numb. lol
I also have the 'tuning' gear, just never used it as it was fathers stuff. For what I paid I can't complain.

nice work and nice price! I'd suggest running the ground to the FRAME and not the body. You can "bond" the vehicle, i.e. back door to the body, body to the frame.
