Mounting a CB

My CB wont fit where my radio mounts and was wondering about if anyone has cut their dash to fit or if anyone has a unique mounting place for it?

Thanks
Trent

behind the center console or a roll bar.

I mounted my CB on the passenger side of the center console with the face pointing up. This does effect the ability of the passenger seat to slide forward but I just have people go in behind the drivers seat. This puts the radio at a very easy to access angle.

A Jeep has very limited space for mounting a full sized CB. I have a Cobra 75WX that has everything (speaker, receiver, etc) in the mike. I have thought about upgrading to a full size CB but have puzzled over where to mount it.

I think the best places are:
1) Buy the Tuffy overhead console and put it in there.
2) Velcro it to the top of the dash and use easily disconnectable cables to remove it when you are in "undesirable" parts of town.

My two cents.

Mike
