Mopar Ipod Install, 06 Jeep Liberty

Hope I'm Posting this in the right area. A friend of mine brought a Mopar Ipod install kit for his Jeep Liberty, His radio is the RB1 Radio (I think) anyway he couldn't get it to work and he asked me if I could do something with it.

I said sure, I have the RBQ 6 cd changer radio, So I hooked it up, the part number for my radio is P05091507AF. Anyway (I installed it) I turned it on and it worked like a champ! However on my display it comes up with this:
11111111 ch18

The controls on the steering wheel work as well, Does anyone have any ideas why its doing this? My friend sold me the kit for $75.00!!! Its playing OK but I think it would be neat if the display showed the artist and the song title.

Thanks in advance for any help on this one........
