Not sure it still works this way but years ago you could remove the tune from the VIN locked vehicle and it would unlock the programmer. If you bought it used or are trying to do more than 1 vehicle, it won't work. Like bubba said you may be able to send it to Hypertech and have them unlock it but I am sure you will have to pay. Hypertech is not stupid, they do not want car clubs and whatnot buying 1 programmer and tuning 20 cars. They want to sell 20 programmers.
