i am wondering about these lights that are for sale on ebay. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=33709
i am wondering if these things are as good as regular kc daylighters? i want to know if they are worth the money or if i should just get kc daylighters?

If they are just look-alikes, you can get them from other stores even cheaper. I think Autozone around here has 100W off-road lights that LOOK like daylighters (but aren't) for $30/pair.

The biggest difference will be the light pattern they throw. The KCs will be more uniform and feathered where-as the cheapos may have a harsher pattern. Other than that they should be fine.

Ive seen a few of these before- their a little bit lighter weight than the KCs, and the wiring looked a bit smaller- the only real difference i saw was the beam pattern was wider, and didnt seem to reach out as far-- the original KCs i had were pencil beams-the reflector was dish shape down to the bulb base-- these are dish shaped, but have a bulge for disspersion--wider beam. I liked mine, but switched out to a cargo lense....lots of light close in...we got nothing but woods around here-no need to see 3 miles down the road.

for that price, I beileve i`d spend a hair more and buy quality....even with a free cargo bag....I`m not sure of his deffination of cargo...that looks like an oversize womens purse. Adding in some H3 ice blues....well...the price is good...but its still not quality.

flip a coin-

I bought a set of the stainless ones the same guy had on eBay and they have been great thus far. I swapped out the 55w for the 130w bulbs and the two I have on the windshield bracket are very good for me. I can be on a backroad, flip them on with the heads on bright and its pretty much daylight for me. I am planning on adding the others I got to the Jeep in the near future to enhance it but 2 is pretty good atm.

I was skeptical myself but this guy was very helpful and responded to each email I sent.
