Jeep Wrangler Wont Start

Its a 97 Jeep Wrangler. It ran good but the check engine light came on. It was shut off and the battery was disconnected then reconnected after a short time. Nothing else was done to it. When you try to start it, the 4 way flashers start flashing, the digital spedo flashes, and all other lights work but there is no other indication that it is turning over or that the starter has been engaged.

Can anyone tell me what this might be or where to start looking?

My first guess is the ECM/brain/computer went bad.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
