Interior light shut-off switch when doors are off

anyone have a write-up and pics of their switchto turn off the inside lights when the doors are off. I am tired of pulling out the #4 evertime I want to go doorless. I am not the best at electrical but you give me directions and what I need I can get it done. Pics always help I am very visual. What I am thinking is one of those jet fighter style switches above the lighter so it can stay on during the door times and off when they are off.. thank you !!!

I ordered mine from quadratec, works very well. Some people have a problem paying $25 for it, and a bunch have made basically the same thing for real cheap, but i didnt think it was too bad. I'm sure someone else will chime in with their instructions.

I normally pull my fuse when i put the soft top back on and leave it out till i put the hard top back on in late fall. If i need a light on inside when i get in, ill turn the knob and turn it on myself

Times 2 on ordering from Quadratec. All you do is remove fuse 4, plug in the wires in the socket and screw the switch into your dash. The fuse is inline.

I wanted something that looked stock. So I bought this switch from jeepsareus.com that is normally used for foglights.

I wired this to a modified add-a-fuse that I put in place of fuse #4

This allows fuse #4 to be switched on and off by the switch but when it is on, it is still fused at 10A.

I like.
