I'm getting a new PCM installed and have a quick question.

A local dealership will be installing a new PCM in a few days. I'm curious, once it's installed, about how many miles does my KJ have to be driven in order for the PCM to run through all the engine checks it normally does?

I have 2003 Jeep Liberty Limited with a 3.7L gas engine.

Thanks.

not sure what you are getting at. when you turn the key it goes through it. when its running its checking. The mapping of how you drive will take many key cycles. but if you ever disconnect the battery long enough that can reset that anyway. nothing to worry about.

If you are talking about the OBDII monitors, that depends on driving style, etc. Can be as little as 10 miles, to as many as a few hundred miles. As little as a single day, to as long as several weeks. I always cringe when I read about replacing a pcm. Too many are replaced out of desperation, and it doesn't fix anything.
