Quadratec has these as security devices for your radio/headunit. Was wondering if anyone has one of these and whether or not they would provide some level of weather protection for the radio/headunit? My current unit got caught in a surprise storm and it is messed up now. Unit is permanently on and none of the controls work ie volume controls etc. I have to remove the head unit to turn it off short of turning off the jeep.

Wife got me one for Christmas. You know you chose well when she buys you Jeep stuff for Christmas/birthdays.

It's certainly not waterproof, but it will provide better protection than nothing for the front of the unit. Do you want some detailed pics?

Sorry, guys.
