How many antennas can one jeep hold?
I am in the middle of my radio install and am wondering, how many antennas do all you other radio operators have on your jeeps? I have 4 so far, counting the itty bitty Sirius Radio antenna, I have seen some wild and fantastic setups on trucks, but as far as I have seen, no one else in my town has antennas poking out of their jeep... They look at me like I'm a nerd or something...

I have three, but technically only two. One for my normal radio, one on the left side of my roof rack for my CB, and a 2nd CB antenna mounted on the right side of the rack just b/c I had an extra and decided to make it look like some kind of bug

Cell booster is a dual band 800/1900 mhz 3 watt linear amplifier. It plugs into my data card to increase the signal strength, also the data card has an internal antenna, so this also helps by putting the signal outside the truck.
It makes the difference in fringe areas, and gives me a solid connection anywhere theres even 1 bar of signal. The wifi hotspot is just that, a portable, vehicle mounted hotspot. My USB data card plugs into it, and its a wireless router that creates a hotspot about 150 feet around the truck. I use a CM-2000 amplifier: Amplifier - Dual-band Direct-connect Kit And a Cradlepoint CTR-500 wireless router: ctr500 CRADLEPOINT, INC. [ctr500] - CELLULAR TRAVEL ROUTER USB EXPRESS CARD AND ETHERNET [ctr500] My (current) data card is an express card from Verizon. Up untill last week, they offered 24 hours of unlimited access for $15, but they changed their plans recently. I'm actually looking at the prepaid one from Virgin Mobile, since its on sale now.

Actually, its kinda nice to be out of contact sometimes...
The data card and hotspot are for work, although my friends love me when I go out and eat, and leave the equipment online so they can get on the internet on their laptops. I'm actually in the process of pulling radios out of the truck, and consolidating antennas. I bought a roof mount puck that combines the wifi, cell amp, and has a GPS reciever that plugs into the laptop. That'll combine 3 antennas into one. The two antennas on the rear corners are getting combined into one short dual band antenna because those two separate radios are getting replaced with a single unit
