Please don't turn out to be a danielhayes_98xj. Either speak up on the claim of non-payment or pay up.

I asked him to send me an electric fan, a wiring harness, and a relay. I then sent the amount we agreed on via Postal money order. I received the box in the mail and it didn't have the harness or the relay. He insisted that it did, it came with about 2 inches of wire and a fuse, no harness, no relay. I PMed him asking about it and he said he had no idea what I was talking about. After that I called the Post Office and asked them to hold the money order, because at this point he seemed angry and misinformed of what I was looking for, and figured I would never see the rest of the parts once he received payment. I sent him another PM asking how we could resolve this and he said he wasn't going to ship me the rest of the parts because he wasn't going to cut his harness. After he read my posts in here he realized that I was replacing a mechanical fan with an electric fan and told me, "next time don't be such a **** and learn what you are talking about." I'm not going to bother to comment about his terrible grammar. It is him who needs to learn something as I told him I had a 2001 Wrangler which couldn't have possibly come with an electric fan, none of which matters as he shouldn't care what I'm using it for as long as he ships me everything we agreed upon. I have yet to release payment to him as I didn't think our transaction was complete yet. If he isn't going to send me the rest of the parts, I think it is only fair for me to get them from the dealership and deduct that cost from the total we agreed upon so that in the end I have all of the parts that I need and we discussed for the price we negotiated.
Am I wrong?

EDIT: I would have responded to this thread earlier, but I was away without internet for the weekend.

I also don't mean to be petty about anything, but I have 1,248 posts and have been on here since October 2004 with nothing negative said about me and I try to help out as much as I can.
Snyper has 11 posts, none of which are constructive at all, and has been on here for less than 2 months.
I should at least get the benefit of the doubt and not have a private matter between the two of us turn into some sort of witch hunt.

Enough of the who owes who $ debate. That should be handled privately. All it will be is a shouting match and he-said, he-said debate. Any more on that part of the topic will be dealt with. Don't sell products before receiving payment and pay in a way that your protected if you're cheated. (I.E. Paypal is your friend.) End of that discussion.

To wire the fan, you need a relay, wire and a fuse. How you trigger it is irrelevant. You can get a module to handle thermostatic triggering and speed control from companies like Flex-a-lite. I would not use an electronic thermostat off another vehicle as it may not be set for the right flow or temperature for your vehicle.
