Have 06 Liberty with RB1, need help with Uconnect
Hi all, What a great forum...
I just bought a 2006 Liberty Limited CRD. It was loaded (moonroof, side airbags, tow package, heated seats, blah, blah, blah) so I struck the deal post haste, happy as a clam. It has the factory RB1 and 6 disc CD changer. I live in the "Peoples' Socialist Republik of Kalifornia" so hands free cell phone use is a must. I would like to add Uconnect first and then add the Sirius and iPod later. I understand I need to order some parts: http://www.wjjeeps.com/sirius/sirius_diag.jpg But what is the Uconnect part number....and is the above diagram right? Will Uconnect work with the setup above? Thanks!

That diagram is correct (I've got Sirius and the multiplexer myself) but Uconnect doesn't work great with this setup from what I've read. I think all it will do is mute the radio when you're on a call. It should fit into that wiring series somewhere though. The part number is 82207853 for the add-on set of buttons, I would imagine there's probably a way to replace your mirror with the later Grand Cherokee mirror with it integrated but the wiring would no doubt be more annoying. This should help: http://www.wjjeeps.com/misc/uconnect_wj.pdf
Have fun with that CRD, I seriously considered buying one in 06 but IIRC they weren't offering the same sweet incentives as gas models...
