Garmin Quest 2 in a Trail Guide Mount

Anyone out there using the Garmin Quest 2 in a Trail Guide Mount?
It looks to me that they are the same GPS.
Pictures???

How good are these offroad and on-road.

Off road can you get your tracks back out of the gps?
How good are the topo maps?

On-road How does it do navigating?

Thanks!

I am using the Quest II....works pretty well, however it is very slow when first calculating a route and recalculating (if you get off route). By the time it figures out a new route you have most likely already passed where it wants you to turn, so then it goes back into recalculating again.

I have checked many other sites and from what I've learned it seems that the Quest I works much faster. Most say the problem with the Quest II is that since it comes preloaded with all the USA maps it has to sort though all the mpas for it to do it's calculations. I have tried every suggestion, such as turning off the maps I am not using..etc, but it doesn't seem to make any difference.
With the Quest I you can just load the maps you need , which in turn makes the calculations faster.
I have been debating weather to purchse the Quest 1 (can find cheap on eBay) to see if that is really so.

I haven't bought the topo maps (more $$) or used it much off road, so I can't comment about that

The trailguide base is nice. The speakers are plenty loud when driving highway speeds and it powers the unit up automatically when you start up.

Another thing I was dissapointed with was that the seller I bought my Quest II from advertised that you could get the latest maps for free....that isn't so anymore. Garmin used to give free updates for the first year, but they no longer do so. The maps that came on mine are a little outdated, and to get the latest maps cost around $90...which is almost what I paid for the unit when I bought it.

All in all, though I still like it... I just wish I would have bought the Quest 1 from the start. I think I would have been happier with the performance.
