galaxy

i have a galaxy and i can hear but i cant talk unless i am within a mile or so of someone. could it be a poor ground, sorry antenna. i hav a quality coax. i also have a astatic road devil mic

If its a power mic check your battery

I would throw a SWR meter on it and to make sure the antenna is OK.

crap i didnt know the mic had a battery, i knew it would key up the cb when i mashed the buton but i will check it. thanks

Yea, all the power mics have batteries. If that doesn't solve the problem, throw the stock mic back on (if you have it) and do like newjeepguy suggested. Insufficient grounding is one of the biggest problems folks tend to find, and the SWR meter will let you know immediately if that is the case.
