i recently installed a wire harness for my interior dash, only one problem, it was not equip with sub woofer wire connections. i know, im an idiot....

anyways, my question is... is there a way to connect the factory subwoofer wires directly to the rca sub preout in the back of the HU?

if yes, please explain

if no,

oh, the head unit is a sony CDX-GT300

No, there is not. And there is no stupid questions... only stupid answers.

The factory sub uses the speaker-outputs from the head unit to get it's source signal and the factory-harness power antenna wire (so use the Sony's remote-turn-on wire to go to that instead of the Sony's power antenna wire; if it is so equipped, If the Sony only has a PA wire, then use that).

There are ways to go from high-level to low-level (speakers to RCAs) but not the other way around. That's basically what the amp does is convert the low-level to a high-level signal.
