Double whammy

Ok, 1) for some reason a farting noise that is mimicking my exhaust is playing through my speakers, the faster I go the higher pitch is gets, and it shifts and all 2) I get REALLY bad pickup on pretty much all stations, I get about 3-5 clear stations

Bad ground loop, could even be phone interference, check all stereo grounds, if you have RCAs for any reason make susre they don't run close to power wires.

Speaker wire and connectors come in RCA type like on an old VHS or stereo may even be on the back of the TV.

The color coding on a VCR, DVD... Is for (red) right channel, (white) left channel and (yellow) video.

You have these on the radio?

Stock radio? Do you have a subwoofer in the center console or a sub somewhere?

Did you check the radio ground? Antenna connections?

If your grounds are okay and you've separated your RCAs from your power wires, you might have some success with a ground loop isolator. You can get them for under $20. I had one installed in and old VW Beetle with an aftermarket stereo. Grounds all seemed okay and we ran our RCA cables to the sub away from the power wires, but were still getting a farting noise coming through the speakers that changed pitch with higher engine RPM. The ground loop isolator cleaned it right up.

Well. I went in and found aaaaall this stuffed in there...while I was at it I swapped out my old kenwood stereo for my moms newer pioneer, thing works great and the farting noise is gone. I have no doubt that something was grounding out or pickin up some electrical somewhere. Not good
