Cree LED spotlights

So I was looking around for some LED fogs/spots, I have KC daylighters at the moment. I was wondering if the cree LED lights were an upgrade? They are 4" 18w 1260 lumens. I have no idea what model my KC's are except they are the 6", of course they all are that size.

Is anyone running them? Pictures?

Led lights are a much better improvement over halogen lights in most cases.
Less power draw
Higher output
Cleaner light
Smaller package.

Yeah, I thought about ordering direct from china but I found a US seller that can have them here in 3 days for the same price. I am still undecided if I will get the pair and keep my day lighters or remove the daylighters all together. I guess it depends on the light output.

Was just looking at them yesterday. Honestly like the look better than daylighters for the light bar. Interested to see what anyone has to say also.

I got a set of those LED's I linked to. So once they arrive I will wire them up and give a review in this thread. I also found a club member who sells them cheap so I am getting some 6" single row from him in a few weeks as well. I will add those to the thread as well.

Really? I installed them last night and they are WEAKER than my LOW beams. I was very disappointed.

Granted they are flood and not spot like I was hoping.

they should be brighter unless the maker is way over rating the light output. a 9006 halogen light puts out about 1000lm and the lights in the link state they are 1800lm. of course with LED's its all about the reflector so that might be why they look weaker.

A halogen light is read in candle power and there is no real conversion between candle power and lumens. I don't know where you got your information from but regardless LEDs are the way to go!

I tried direct to power and no change, they are theoretical 1800 but 1200 actual output. So far I am not a fan of LED's.

Don't blame LEDs, blame cheap quality lights. I personally have nearly 40k lumens on my YJ and love everything about them.
