Busted my 2004 out today and looking to replace mine too. What's the pro/con of this pyle and kicker vs the Quadratec replacement. I'm not to keen on electrical wiring, blowed a radio and eq about 20 yr ago and I steer clear of doing it. If it's simple red/black wires to one post green blue to another I can do that lol.
Any mods have to be done to console with the pyle ive seen a few threads on the kicker and it varies

I'll have to let you know. I'm waiting on delivery. It's a dvc so it will be a direct replacement as far as wiring. It's the same diameter. Some replacements require cutting the weird plastic fins in the enclosure.

I tried the kicker sub based off info on here I was so unimpressed with its performance I sent it back I highly recommend trying the quadratec sub. With that said I did neither I fixed my existing sub and ran window urethane around the foam bead that was broke and it hasn't missed a beat yet...cost of doing that FREE!!!

Stay away from Pyle. They're cheap for a reason. Run the kicker 6.5 but off an external aftermarket amp. Kicker 100.1 amp is perfect.

Did you run an aftermarket amp to it??? If not, thats your problem. I have a 300x1 amp (the size of my hand) powering it with the gain not even touched from the factory and it pushes it really nice!

I didn't but I believe I was running the 1 ohm kicker also. I chose the factory route cuz I really don't want the mess of running an amp. I hate wires and to me the factory system isn't that bad
