CB and my RPM gauge

Is it normal that when I speak on my CB, my RPM gauge moves up and down just following what I say. You know it jumps with my voice???? Do I have to worry about this???

I had the same problem in mine when I used a device that would some how "amplify" my signal. I didn't notice any negative effects other than that.

Well, my CB is just a basic one without any mods or gadgets, so I don't have anything to worry about, right? Did you get rid of the thing?

Do you have your power wire for your CB wired directly to your battery? I had mine wired this way and found out that it was to close to the coil where I had my tach wired into. I still have everything in my Jeep as of right now. I still don't see it being a problem. After I moved the power wire I never had this problem anymore.

I thought you might, I would just move the wire away from the coil and see what happens. It should quit doing it after that. Do you get alot of engine noise through your CB?
