CB Mounting. Pics?

I want to purchase a CB for my Cherokee but I'm not sure of a good spot to mount it. Does anyone have any clever ideas? Pics are VERY welcome. Thanks!

BTW, I was thinking about this model radio:

It's a Cobra 18 WX ST II. The speaker is on the front of the unit so I wouldn't have to worry about that (although it wouldn't be much of a problem because my dad is a ham radio operator and it's his hobby so I'm sure he's got acouple speakers layin around). I also like how the signal strength is portrayed via LEDs, that's pretty cool.

Any Likes/dislikes? Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks again!

If you get that model, it would be cool to stick in in the stock radio slot. I was thinking of doing this with an external speaker. You can get a cobra 19 and mount it behind the seatbelt by your left shoulder. It puts the speaker right next to your ear and was the best place I've ever had a cb. Now that I have a big radio, I have to wedge it between my pass. seat and center console.

Aww to bad, I have a 97 that doesn't have that area down there to mounts. Looks good though Derek. Hey is that bedliner or just paint on your floors.

That is the cheapest effing spray in bedliner that I could find. You can get it at walmart back in the automotive department where the touch up paint is. It's like $6 a can and I think I used three cans. It was really easy to do and I didn't waste a whole day on prep. Worst case- it starts to come off, I hit it again with the spray can.

I just mounted my CB in the radio slot. It actually fit really good. It looks pretty cool, and my CD player didn't work anyway, so nothing to loose.

mission-inc, I have the Cobra 18 WX ST II....Excellent...very happy with it...Bought it at a truck stop for $60.00 I think...Valco Electronics has it cheaper I think....Combined it with a 3' Wilson antenna and a firestick front fender mount.....

Yeah, eventually, but that means a long time. I think I have a speaker shorting or somthing cause the radio keeps doing this auto shutdown shist. But for now, the CB is pretty cool.

i don't have a pic (i'll try to take one tomorrow) but i mounted mine down by my right knee, it's the rat shack small unit, so it fits fine and there's lots of leg room still. just to the left of the switches for rear wiper, fogs, rear defrost. fits nicely.
