CB Mounting Help

I am getting a cb and i was wondering what is the best spot to mount an antenna, and what spots in the jeep are best for mounting the cb. I don't really want to get an antenna over 3ft.

Thanks

i mounted my cb on the back of my console. i mounted my antenna on my spare tire carrier, but you can pick up a cb antenna mount for a few bucks also.

My thought is this, mount the CB Radio in a location that is easy to reach, you or your passenger won't hit it with your knees and you like the way it looks.

The antenna, the higher the better, of course most people don't put them on the roof for obvious reasons, mounting and trees.
The next best location is off of the Rear Tire Carrier. Why, because you can mount it as high as you want or need to and the mount can be as strong as you want to build it.

Don't forget to ground the antenna mounting plate (the ground of the antenna) and get some good clean power from a direct fused, battery hook up.

Luck

i got my antenna mount here...

or you can use their ebay store here...

i have a 3 foot Firestick II attached to it and it is all working just fine. i have a quick disconnect setup for my CB for security reasons. when i use it, it gets mounted on the dash in the "spare change" tray. the mount just stays in place up there while it's not being used.
