CB install - wiring quest

I'm installing my cb this weekend and I think I have all the necc stuff ready...except,

I am just going to wire into the fuse box behind the glove box, as for the positive wire, right now it's just a bare wire, what type of end do I need to get so it fits into the fuse box??? (For the ground, I'm just going to buy one of the cirlce ends and bolt it to the body under the dash somewhere).

Thnx

Wire your CB directly to the battery for better protection against potential electrical noise. Basic 101 2-way radio installation technique is to always power them directly from the battery. Electrical noise gremlins reside on many of the fused circuits on that fuse block so I wouldn't attempt to use any of them. Do ground your radio as close to it as possible though.

Where should the wire be routed through the firewall at? There are places on the driver's side, but are there any on the pass. side by the battery itself?

what TJ-n-Oregon suggests is really the best place to run any and all of your wires from your engine bay. it's almost to the middle of the jeep tub anyway, so it's an easy split to go one way or another. everyone else is right about running it straight to the battery.

just out of curiosity, where/how are you mounting it? i'm always interested in seeing what other people are doing to compare to how mine is done.

Fuse the positive wire coming from the battery as close to the battery as possible.
In case of a shorted wire this method stops the hot 12 volt wire in the engine compartment.
