CB antenna location

Where is the best place to put an antenna?

Generally speaking, the higher the better. Short antennas do pretty well if mounted high enough... mounting them low, like on the bumper, means the Jeep's steel tub will screw with the signal.

A very good location is on the spare tire bracket where a 3' antenna works very well. Some buy TurboCity's antenna mount that bolts in-between the tub and a tail light which seems to work well too.
