A/C, turn signals, cd player, all dont work.

The A/C, turn signals, and cd player all stopped working at the same time. I checked the fuses near the driver's side and they were all fine. But three aren't getting continuity, blower, turn, and radio fuse. The fuses are all good. Also checked the relays in the fuse box under the hood and they all work, along with those fuses, which are receiving continuity. Thanks.

ummm, if a fuse doesn't have continuity across its terminals, it's a bad fuse. even if it looks good. I've had a few that went but still looked good. change them and you shouldn't have a problem.

But why would all 3 go at the same time? I also tried putting other fuses that shared the same amp into the slots and still didn't work.

i don't know how the XJ's are wired (assuming that's what you have from your screeen name) but since you've checked the PDC under the hood for blown fuses and none turned up, then I would say you've got a short somewhere. just to be sure, check for power at each of the 6 terminals where your blown fuses plug in (need the key on or in ACC position I would say considering what they are) one terminal in each should have power in it when you touch it and ground with the tester. if there's nothing at any of them, you lost your power feed further up the line. if you do have power there, check for power at the accessories themselves. probably the easiest would be the CD player. if you have power at the fuse and not at the player, then you've got a problem between those two.

Ended up taking it to a shop. They did a R&R on the ignition switch and now everything works. I wonder how they diagnosed this problem...
