I wouldnt reccomend anything but spots up there due to glare off of the hood.

and i would say just the oppisite. stay away from the fogs due to glare. the sopt/driving lights project a beam much farther than the fogs. its all in what you want to illuminate. if you want to project light down a trail or just light up the area around the jeep. what do you want to do?

Thats why I say stay with the spots, the beam is much narrower and the glare is less. A fog/driving/flood light has a wider beam and willbounce off of the hood more.

usually,
fogs= under or on the bumper
driving= on the bumper
floods= on the bumper/overhead light bar
spots= hood or overhead light bar

I am looking for a light that goes a long ways just to light up the trail not the whole area around so I am guessing spot... right..

yep, you want a set of spot/driving lights. if you want bright try the kc 130w off road lights. if you want really really nice lights get a set of the HID driving lights. or you can get the warn dual beam lights. they have spot/driving and fogs together in one light.

I just installed the Long Range KC 130w lights, and they are fantastic! Can illuminate things nearly 1/2 mile away.
