Best aftermarket head unit - Alpine system

I just bought my first Jeep, and got the 2017 winter edition. I'd like to upgrade the head unit, but want to maintain the functionality of the buttons on the steering wheel, and the uConnect. Ideally, I'd like to have Android auto /navigation and Bluetooth and need to be sure it'll be compatible with the Alpine speakers. Any recommendations? Appreciate any help!

Pioneer NEX series with a CANBUS controller iDatalink ADS-MRR will do what you want.

Sirius is an add on tuner to those so if you want to keep Sirius you can reuse the factory antenna but need the add on tuner.

Yup, you got the main parts. You will also need a metra dash kit and a metra antenna adapter.

The Amazon link looks like a Chinese Android unit with a very hefty price tag. You want a Chinese Android radio, get the Joying.

Ok, is this an export Jeep? That will make some difference in things like AM/FM band, Video format, etc. CANBUS shouldn't care though. Are you outside the US or Canada?

is it gonna be a glitch if i dont have this ?
oh okey, think i gonna go for the Joyring or pioneer nex, iam just unsure if i need the "idatalink" for it to work? and why i need it ?

Yeah its an export jeep, i live in Sweden, i know about the Fm/Am band, never listens to the radio anyway, but the main stations will work anyway

Thats the kit. The pioneer is standard double din so you need the kit. A Jeep specific Joying will not need one, a universal fit Joying will need one. The Idatalink is required if you want to keep functionality like steering wheel controls and dimming with the interior dimmer. It will also keep CANBUS from throwing codes for communications loss. The Jeep specific Joying radio comes with a CANBUS adapter so you can get away with not buying the Idatalink module if you get the Jeep specific Joying. You will also need this adapter for the antenna. http://www.metraonline.com/part/Chry...ntenna_40-CR10

Alright i think i got it

i watched this video on Youtube about the NEX7200 on the wrangler.

And i can see that they have functions like, tire pressure control, guages, notification when a door is open,

and they also have when the rear gear is selected the backupcamera shows, and when gear is put in Drive, the front camera shows

how do i get those? will the idatalink provide these ?

Thanks!

If the Pioneer is capable of displaying those, the iDatalink unit should provide that data to the radio. I would check directly with Pioneer and iDatalink to be sure.

The setup I have with a NEX4100 and the PAC modules don't provide that data, but then again, I have a Sport and it does not have the EVIC, which may have a lot to do with that.

I will double check with pionner and idatalink.

Does the dash tell you things like which door is open with a little picture or TPMS readings? That would be an EVIC. Just things like door open with no graphics is a standard Vehicle info center.
