Aux switch panel...

I saw someone that makes a switch panel to go in the spot above the rear-view mirror... but I can't seem to find it now. It had about 5 slots for the Contura style switches.

Anybody have a link to the one I'm thinking of?

TIA!

Not the one

I don't think the space behind that stock piece is deep enough for the contura type switches. Somebody sells a replacement with pre-made cutouts.

That's it! Thanks!

But I thought they were the Carling switches I wonder what kind those are, because I'll need at least a few DPDT switches in there,

Here is my $2 solution

Those sPods are nice....looks like they are blank and you add your own switches? I wonder what the depth is?
EDIT: the faq on the page answered my questions

Stupid question, how did you attatch that box ncb76. Where the footman loops in the 97's not rivited like the 01's. Did you drill the rivits or make some kind of clip to attatch to the footman loop.

The s-Pod comes in various configurations, depending on what you want. You can have it with switches installed or have it empty and put in the switches (and air pressure gauge, if so desired) by yourself.

I have purchased it and am very impressed with its quality. It was designed by a chap named John Angelastro (Info@4x4s-Pod.com), who is incredibly friendly and helpful. This is a new product which, I expect, will soon become quite popular.

No write-up, but it's not hard to do. It is a small project box from Radio Shack. I removed the footmans loop (it was held in place w/2 torx head screws) and used the loop as a template for the mounting holes inside the box. I then marked where I wanted my switches to be on the face plate and drilled the proper holes. I drilled a small hole on the bottom side of the box to route the wires, and I used a small rubber grommet (also available at Radio Shack, etc.) to clean it up.

One thing to look out for is the mounting depth of the switch that you use. Make sure it will work before you buy them. The ones that I had were a little too long, so I had to bend the prongs to get them to fit.
