Anybody running a Galaxy 979 CB?

Galaxy has a new CB out. It's slightly narrower than the bigger SSB radios but just as long. Has a front mount mic plug.

Wondering if anybody has one and if so how do you like it?

PS: It is a legal CB radio and not a 10m radio modified to work on CB.

979's are good lil radios. If buying a used one make sure it's on freq. and you're good to go.

I usually run a DX99V or a DX959. I love the look of the Galaxy's but these older ones suck in a Jeep. Constant solder problems and cracked boards. The DX979 is supposed to be supported internally better than the older radios.

I need SSB as I use it quite often.

Look for a uniden grant XL or LT made in the Phillipines and you'll have a outstanding am/ssb radio.
