1) form fitted box that follows the contours of the seat back and tail gate so it can't be lifted straight out with out the rear seat being folded down and the box "worked out"
2) don't face the subs up so they can see what to steal.
3) use an alarm
4) don't boom in the mall parking lot before you go inside for 2 hours
5)if box is carpeted, use same color as the interior so as not to make it stand out.
6) "L" brackets bolted to the rear seatbelt bolt locations.
7) Be carefull where you park and keep one eye out.
8)Don't show off your system to ALL your friends, and thier friends, and thier friends....
9) make your buddy drive everyone to the movie in his car
10) use common sense
So far 11 years and no theft!
......the garage, motion lights, alarm, dog and Glock help too!

other little things are use flat head and phillips. Also fill in the whole with rubber cement. that why when they try to put the screw driver in to up bolt it they cannot get it in. also keep it out of site. i made a board that fits right behind my back seat i then covered that in a bunch of plastic then i carpeted the board. i now have the security and it is waterproof for the amp.

I have a sub box that fits tight behind the back seat and back gate, and its tight between the wheel wells. I ran the amp under the seat with the wires all hidden under carpet and in the roll bars. I left the factory head unit in and ran a line converter to the soundbar for the rca cables. Also on the back seat lever I bought a long master lock and put it around the arm there so that you would have to cut the master lock or have a key to raise the backseat.(which when i need back there again I will even have a hard time because it is extremely hard to get to). With the carpet on the sub box, and everything hidden. The only way you can really tell I have a system is the sound. I really like to think it's theft proof. Hopefully I won't have to find out.

If you're really worried about it, this is a nice design, with some time, you could copy it (this guy has a ton of pics), or just wait till he's back from his baby-sebbatical and order one. The cutouts will lock it in place.

for my jl 12w3's i used bolts from the inside of the box through the floor and used square head screws to hold the speakers to the box.

this write up is the most complete to help you fiberglass the first time. read the whole thing it is not hard just time consuming the first couple of times. i would do a few practice boxs first.

I spent the almost the whole day today making false floor for my 12". I got the idea from Tanzjeep site ( http://www.cardomain.com/id/tanzjeep). It should secure enough...
I'll try to post pic when I finish with it..still need to hook up the cables.

Keepin the Subs and Amp Dry
I have two 12" Memphis Subs and a 500 Watt Kenwood Amp, my sub box sits against the tailgate (subs facing the tailgate) It's a ported box, (my friend is a Car Audio FREAK) To keep them dry, I lifted the sub box 2 inches from the tub with rails going down the sides, but otherwise, when I made the box, I sealed it with bedliner, so it's water proof (unless it gets submerged, obviously). But that should give you an idea on keeping everything dry. My Amp is mounted at a 45 degree angle on the top of my box facing towards the front of the jeep with a sealed piece of MDF over the top of it to shun water around it.
