AGM battery manufacturers?

I am making a list of all the known Absorbent Glass Mat AGM batteries. Please feel free to comment on, make suggestions and correct my short list too.

Optima........................$150-210
Sears Platinum.............$190
Exide Orbital Select......$190
Everstart Ultra..............$???
Carquest NGT Extreme..$90
Odyssey PC1500...........$317
Deka Intimidator...........$130
Kinetik..........................$500

Anyone have any more to add? These AGM type batteries are supposedly much more durable then standard flooded plate style batteries. Therefore they should all be about equal in performance so we should buy based on price alone? If that's the case it looks like the Carquest NGT Extreme is by far the best "bang for your buck".

Comments?

Add Odyssey batteries to that list. Specifically, the Odyssey PC1200 and PC1500 are both AGM batteres commonly used in Jeeps though they have more AGM batteries in addition to those two. Also, Odyssey is the OE manufacturer of the Sears Diehard Platinum battery.

Getting Savvy...

When you have a choice, buy American.

Does anyone have any experiance with the Carquest NGT Extreme battery? I mean for under $90 that is a bargain for an AGM battery compared to the others.

Power Master (3100) batteries are some of the strongest batteries out there. Dont for get Kinetic ( I for get the model but was there big one..) Batteries as well coming in at a cool 2nd with Optima( blue top g31-14) coming in 3rd from all the batteries I have tested.
Also North Star batteries has a KILLER batteries, The NSB 125 and the NSB 90 are purty stout a swell. North Star Batteries is a telecom battery. But the last I heard they where going to quit selling batteries to the public.

O ya the Odyssey PC 2150 is a great battery as well!

Carquest NGT Extreme is less then $90 and the Kinetik retails for $499. Somehow I don't think they're the same.

I don't know who told you this but they lied to you. Kinetik is out of Ohio and they make ONLY their product. The Deka batteries dont even have the same case (which they would have matching cases if there where made by the same people.
