Adding Fog Lamps to a GC

I'm getting a 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee soon, it has many features, but unfortunately lacks Fog Lights. In my area, it gets incredibly foggy at times and I would like to install Fog Lights. The question is, which ones should I choose to use, and is there any special installation instructions since they are not standard on the Jeep I'm getting?

We aren't building a Space Shuttle... pick a design you like.

Make sure it is a Fog Light Design, can be either Yellow or White light ( I like the Yellow for Fog ).

You can buy a kit with harness or a separate harness rated for your lights, just make sure to get one that is for your vehicle.

Read the instructions and install lights.

By buying a pre-made harness designed for your vehicle, the install should be straight forward and even a plug-in in some cases.

Make sure you get a good ground to a point where you have bare metal. Some people even run a separate ground wire if there isn't one already there.

Luck,

Do you any suggestions on brands/models that would look good on my '96 GC?

I like the Hella 550 fog lights with amber lenses. They're as good as, or better than, any fog light I've seen.

I have KC's Fogs to install but haven't seem them turned on to tell you exactly how they are.
Hella makes a good light too, there on the best of vehicles.

I think that anything is better than nothing and cost will be the main gating factor here. I would start by finding something you like the looks of, get a set and try them out.

Sorry I am not really up on different manufacturer's of Lighting, I usually do as I suggested "get'um, put'um on, see'um".
