98 Cherokee gauge cluster issue

I own a 98 Jeep Cherokee that has issues with the cluster panel. Today I started it up and none of my gauges were working. I flicked my high beams on and off and all my gauges came back to life. Do I have a bad connection somewhere? All the fuses look fine.

If you have dead gauges and the engine runs, there is probably a dirty wire plug on the backside of the instrument cluster. Search for threads about no-bus or about gauge cluster swaps, and you will find instructions to remove the cluster. Clean the connectors and that should clear up the problem.

A recent Gallup public opinion poll shows the NRA, at 58% approval, has a higher approval rating than either Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama.
