94 YJ electrical issues after Chevy 350 swap

I've got a 94 YJ that i've had back from getting a Chevy 350 and ax15 installed for about a week now. The motor is carbed. None of my stock gauges are working but the aftermarket guages that were installed for the voltage, oil psi and radiator temp gauge work. What could be the problem?

Odds are they were not hooked up. When the original motor was removed, the PCM was probably removed, which is were some vehicles get their gauge data from. I know that my 94 Caravan has two computers, the PCM for the engine and a BCM for the gauges and interior.

If they didn't hook up the speed sensor to the new transmission, there will be nothing to read. Fuel level is also read from the BCM.

I just did a 98 4.3 swap into my 88 and all the factory gauges work with the new motor with the exception of the tach I had to swap out. I just replaced the Chevy oil sender with the one from my 2.5 and no problems, didn't have to put in aftermarket ones but if one set is working and the others are not they probably didn't add a second set of pickups for the OP or Temp.
