1995 Wrangler YJ Headlight issues

Does anyone know why my headlights would randomly turn off while I'm driving. I don't know much about electrical issues and I'm trying to save myself from taking it in to the shop. Basically what happens is I'll be driving down the street with them on and then suddenly they go off for a few minutes before coming back on again. Thanks!

Could be a ground issue, could be an issue with the headlamp switch. Check ALL of your connections before going further.

(Wouldn't be a bad idea to consider doing the relay mod)

Sent from a Jeep.

Your headlight switch is heating up and kicking in a safety feature in the switch, which turns off the light until they cool down.
Next time it happens, reach under the dash and see if the switch is hot.
I would do the headlight relay anyway, to improve the light output from the headlights and take the load off the factory wiring.
