10" sub in custom center console

Anybody done it ? Im looking to put my polk momo 10 in a custom center console. I used to have it in a box when I had a big truck style toolbox in place of my rear seat but I got sick of only having 2 seats so it all went away and I miss the sub. I don't really care about the space in the center console maybe just a small area for a few cds and my sunglasses. Im thinking fiberglass is probably the only way to make it fit as I want the sub to fire at the floor so it can still be heard or felt with the top off and it would be pretty stealthy/ not stand out like a sore thumb when the tops off.

there was a thread in the fabrication section of people who had built custom center consoles. a lot of the yj and cj center consoles were built to include subs. Take some dimensions it can be done.

I had saved a thread to someone who modified they're console to fit a 10" sub. thought it was cool since I was trying to find a way to get rid of my box behind the rear seat in favor of more storage space. Some fiberglass skills will be needed to pull it off, or pay a shop to do it. It's on my work computer so I'll forward it on monday. Or do a search, you might find it there. I modified my console to fit an 8" sub and it sounds great, even with the top off.

cool, I'd like to see that. I'd probably go with an 8 if I didn't already have a few decent 10s and a 12 not being used at the moment. I got a deal on a jbl shallow 8 that I used in a stealth box for my fathers xj last year that I was really impressed with but I have the momo 10 and i know it performs well the the fosgate 500 amp I have in the jeep now so I might as well just use it.

There are pics of RUNIT's custom work on page 2. I'm still quite impressed with his work!
