06 grand Cherokee oem radio queston

I have a 2006 Grand Cherokee 65. The factory radio does not have an aux input and i would like to use my I Pod with it. Does anyone know of a good low cost connection kit that will work? I don't need full functionality, just play pause skip etc. The only code i can see on the stero face is CD RDS and i have had a hard time finding specifications on it. i posted an image so maybe that will help.

That is a RAQ radio. The model # is below the right knob (above the "push audio" label). A quick search came up with a factory integration kit, but it's not cheap (and might be discontinued). The part # is 82209617AD.

Chrysler EASy

Mopar iPod Integration Kit (Direct Connection) - Jeep Grand Cherokee, Commander, & Compass - Item # 82209617AD

Edit: I did a quick check on Crutchfield, and it looks like they have something ( Peripheral "iSimple" part # 541ISCH73) that should work.

Peripheral iPodŽ Chrysler Adapter Add iPod control or an auxiliary input to select 2004-08 Chrysler, Dodge, and Jeep vehicles at Crutchfield.com

None of your options are going to be cheap...

I have the iSimple. It works great and uses the DVD function of the stereo system. Easy to install... Works great with all iPods but won't charge my iPad2.

No idea how the new lightning plugs will work with the adapter thanks to Apple and their new plug ins...
