Zone Offroad 4" WJ Lift Africa 17,000 km Trip

Hey all,

I thought this was an an amazing story to share with you from one of our customers. This is a wheelin trip most of us could only dream of and many probably wouldn't dare to go on! This WJ is equipped with our 4" system.

Zone Offroad WJ 4" System

To sum it up this took 6 months of planning, lasted 17,000 km and 65 days!

Click the link below to read the full writeup and check out all of the incredible pictures. I've used Google Translator to help translate most of it with this link. If anyone knows of a better translator that would be very helpful.

Cool story and cool pics! Thanks for sharing! Pretty brave of them to travel through some of those areas unarmed!

That's rather impressive. I don't know how much money or planning it must've taken, but I imagine it was a lot. It looks like a fantastic trip that was life-changing. This is the definition of epic, no? So much for everyone saying Jeeps aren't reliable enough for roving over the African plains.

Really though, I haven't experienced the cow, but the steer is worse than any bull I've had to deal with. I just call him Bull ****!

Did they have the 4.0? It looks like a Laredo so I would guess that.

Ah, missed that. Google translated the first few sections and then left the rest all gibberish. So I had no idea what was being said. I pretty much just looked at the pictures. Why is it that they didn't create better cooling for these things?

well it shows pictures of them under the front and in the text somewhere im pretty sure i caught adding water or something of that sort to it till they got to the next town maybe? i have no idea, its not just the cooling fan relay its the fan, the radiator, and water pump. i dont know why there made so terribly. my jeeps got 140k on it and its got a new rad, fan, relay, and its been through 3 thermostats and water pumps. i mean how terribly can you make a system. ive always wondered if adding a clutch fan would help out all that but who knows, i think its all still crap.
